San Francisco AIDS Foundation
44th Annual Castro Street Fair
The San Francisco AIDS Foundation needed to make a powerful statement at the 44th Annual Castro Street Fair, an event that brings the community together to celebrate and support LGBTQ+ rights.
My role on the marketing team was to create a vibrant, cohesive campaign that would inspire activism, encourage allies, and promote the mission of the Strut, SFAF's Health + Wellness Center.
Inspired by comic book superheroes, I designed a campaign to "stand up, speak out, and smash hate." I created a wide range of collateral, from a 13-foot front window banner and a step-and-repeat to smaller, high-impact items like hand-held signs, buttons, and palm cards. I also designed digital assets for social media sharing to extend the campaign's reach.
The campaign's bold, unified design successfully sent a strong message of community and empowerment. The visual assets effectively engaged fair-goers, promoted the foundation's presence, and encouraged allies to take a stand, creating a memorable brand experience that resonated with the event’s audience.
35th Tribute Celebration
The San Francisco AIDS Foundation's annual Tribute Celebration is a key gala event that honors leaders and raises funds to support those most vulnerable to HIV. A cohesive and elegant visual identity was essential to elevate the event's prestige and reinforce its important mission.
Using the existing brand guidelines, I was responsible for designing all of the event collateral, ensuring a professional and consistent look throughout San Francisco City Hall.
I designed a full suite of materials for the gala, including large pull-up banners, directional signage, menus, name tags, table numbers, and mission moments boards. I also created the program and live auction insert, working with third-party vendors to manage printing and to order crystal glass awards.
My design work contributed to an inspiring and well-executed evening. The consistent branding across all collateral elevated the event's visual presence and helped create a seamless, professional experience for guests, which was crucial for honoring the foundation's 35-year legacy and securing support for future initiatives.
Outreach Palm Cards & Flyers
The San Francisco AIDS Foundation relies on direct outreach to inform communities about its programs and services for prevention and care.
My role was to design a variety of palm cards and flyers for different programs, ensuring the materials were visually clear, informative, and impactful for street outreach.
I designed a range of outreach materials, tailoring each one to a specific program's needs and target audience while maintaining brand consistency.
The flyers and palm cards I designed provided the foundation with professional, effective tools for direct community engagement. These materials helped to educate and inform vulnerable communities, supporting the foundation's core mission of confronting HIV.
