Common Sense Education:
Digital Citizenship Curriculum
In an increasingly digital world, there was a critical need for a comprehensive curriculum to equip students with the skills to be safe, smart, and responsible online. Common Sense Education's original Digital Citizenship Curriculum was developed to meet this need for students from K-12.
My role was to collaborate with the Creative Director to establish the foundational visual brand for this award-winning curriculum. The goal was to create a cohesive and engaging visual identity that would be applied to all lesson materials and a variety of digital and print assets.
I worked closely with the Creative Director to develop the original visual brand, which included designing lesson materials, creating custom illustrations and image collages, and assisting in photoshoots. I also designed the original topic badges and collaborated with the product designers to ensure on-site brand alignment and a color palette that met accessibility guidelines.
The result was the launch of the award-winning K–12 Digital Citizenship Curriculum, which became a cornerstone resource for schools nationwide. The visual brand I helped establish provided a clear, consistent, and professional look that played a key role in the curriculum’s widespread adoption and success, preparing students with essential 21st-century skills.
